Personal Information My name is Dreanne Broadway. I have lived in Rocklin for the past 15 years coming from Sparks, Nevada. My husband Ken and I have four children. We are actively involved in our children's education, church and local youth sports activities.
Education In 1989, I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education. I maintain my teaching credentials through completion of regular continuing education courses.
Experience Prior to graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno, I was employed at Thumper's Day Care. During my employment at Thumper's, I developed the curriculum that enabled the facility to become a licensed preschool. Following certification, I assumed the role of the Preschool Director.
In 1990, I secured a teaching position with the Washoe County School District as a first grade teacher. I taught first grade from 1990 to 1992 and I taught third grade from 1992 to 1993.
In 1993, we had our first child and I left teaching to raise a family.
Over the past 15 years, I have been actively involved at Breen Elementary School participating in roles as an Art Docent, Garden Parent, Room Parent and weekly volunteer in all of my children's classes. Additionally, I have been a catechist at our church for the past 12 years teaching children from three years old through the sixth grade.
One of my greatest accomplishments was the development, in conjunction with other mothers in our neighborhood, of a neighborhood preschool for our two, three and four year olds.
I look forward to sharing my excitement and enthusiasm with your child as he/she begins their educational experience.
Meet Our Teaching Assistant
LoriLea Dahl
I am LoriLea Dahl and I have resided in Rocklin for 15 years along with my husband, Tom. Prior to Rocklin, we lived in Springfield, Oregon for three years, but we are originally from Chico, California where I grew up.
While living in Oregon from 1995 to 1998, I obtained my Day Care License and enjoyed providing full time care for children ages 0 to 12.
From 1998 to present, I have been working at home raising our three sons, ages 10, 17 and 22. During this time, I have been very active in their classrooms volunteering to provide monthly art docent lessons and weekly classroom help. Additionally, I have acted as "team mom" on numerous occasions for their basketball, baseball, and soccer teams.
Along with Dreanne, and other neighborhood moms, I coordinated a home preschool program during my two younger children's preschool years. We enthusiastically applied creative and fun teaching lessons to develop their social and academic skills, so as to prepare them for their kindergarten journey.
I have always loved working with children and I am very excited to meet you and your little one.
